New Money Design from Dowling-Duncan
Newark (UK) and San Francisco-based Dowling-Duncan has done an interesting and thoughtful redesign of the US Dollar for the Dollar ReDe$ign Project.
Take a look at this nice attempt at redesigning the US Dollar by the Dowling-Duncan firm. I quote part of their interesting design brief below.
We wanted a concept behind the imagery so that the image directly relates to the value of each note. We also wanted the notes to be educational, not only for those living in America but visitors as well. [e.g. $1 – The first African American president; $10 – The bill of rights, the first 10 amendments to the US Constitution; $100 – The first 100 days of President Franklin Roosevelt.]

We have kept the width the same as the existing dollars. However we have changed the size of the note so that the one dollar is shorter and the 100 dollar is the longest. When stacked on top of each other it is easy to see how much money you have. It also makes it easier for the visually impaired to distinguish between notes.

I’m sorry, but if Obama end up on ANY tender of bill I will ask for my change to NOT include ANY SINGLE PIECE of tender with him on it.
I would take a pocket full of change over anything with Obama on it. He does NOT belong on any legal tender.
I give him props for being the first black president but that does not give him merit to be placed on legal tender.
Go back to the drawing board…..

NOTICE that on the new designs there is no, “In God we Trust” on the bills at all. God Help Us. NWO run amuck!

Obama should not be on the one dollar bill… He should be on the Food Stamp Cards…

So now our Government is outsourcing even the redesign of our US currency? That would explain Obama on the $1 bill and George Washington didn’t make the final cut. How nice to see one of the few remaining design projects going to a London based design firm.

Our money system in not broke therefore no repair or fix is needed.Just another one of the many many things the government is doing to waste “OUR MONEY”.
